Sound Learning™ Sound Learning™ is run and owned by Kerry Wyer who is a teacher and Speech Pathologist. Sound Learning™ offers a variety of programmes for preschool and school aged children. One of the programmes run is a school readiness programme for preschoolers aged 3 years 9 months to 6 years. There is a maximum of 4 children to each group. These sessions are based on parents and children learning together. They are designed to build solid foundations in key learning areas. Each session lasts for 1 hour. The skills targeted are LISTENING SKILLS, PHONOLOGICAL AWARENESS SKILLS and ORAL EXPRESSION SKILLS. In the last 10 minutes of each session the parents are invited to discuss the activities in the session and are given reading material and activity sheets to follow up between sessions.
